GV Hotel - Talisay City

No breakfast, location excellent

Pros: The room was clean and tidy and the aurcon was fairly quiet and efficient. Cons: No kettle and no hot water to make coffee. I had to fight the traffic to run across to macdonalds. The light did not work in the bedroom. No hot water in the bathroom. Very bad reception on the TV. One chair for two guests.... The room I was initially given was on the 5th floor, no elevator. When I pointed out I was 70 years old, the gave me an "upgrade" to the second floor, charging another 350 for the same type of room! The room was small and pokey, with just enough room to move on one side of the bed with the other against the wall. No soap provided, but on sale in reception at inflated prices. I would recommend this hotel for a stay of one night only.
